TASK 1 AND OUR TOP 13 :)

Task 1

Hey everyone! I would like to say it was SO HARD for me and the judges to pick the top 13. I loved all of your applications and medolls. But if you weren’t chosen, please apply for season 3! Congrats girls who got picked to be in the top 13! Okay so the 1st task is to make an outfit inspired by a famous model. You get to pick which model you would like to do. If you would like to go a little further and get bonus points you can make a room and if you submit a picture showing who you tried recreating! This task with be due (July, Thursday the 28th, central Canadian time) please sign under this post saying “complete” when you’re done. GOOD LUCK! meaning the post in the CLUB

    I wasn't sure if I was supposed to post here or in the club, so I'll do both (better safe then sorry, right)?

    When the word "model" is present I automatically think of Twiggy, a fashion and model icon in our world. She is known for her huge eyes and short hair. Most photos of her were taken in black and white, so I tried to re-create that vintage photo effect using only black and white clothing. I also created a room (the one I'm in) to further capture the essence of her photo shoots. You can also take a look in my photos to see the pictures I've taken of my "twiggy-fied" doll using the "film noir" photo effect!

    i love the vibrance of this picture. Gemma is very captivating. because there is no lower half of this photo, i continued the colourful and beautiful yet tough look through the rest of the outfit.

    these are slightly different variations of the same outfit, as well as face close ups.

    Background:
    Gemma Louise Ward is an Australian model and actress. She was discovered at the age of 14, when her fragile, unique look got the attention of a talent spotter from a modeling agency. In 2004 at only sixteen, she became the youngest model to appear on American Vogue. She has also appeared on the cover of Teen Vogue magazine. She has walked New York runways for notable designers included Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta and Calvin Klein.

    Cindy Crawford was a great role model to me when I was younger, she is the epitome of health, strength and beauty. To me, the slim fitted muslin shirt with torn old jeans shorts and messy hair, is a trademark of hers...remember the beach shots with Richard Gere.

    Cindy has great sense of style when it comes to her homes as well, so I made a suite shot depicting her Malibu home. I hope you like it.
